Merry Christmas!

???????????????????????????????Hubby, the Stinker and I had a wonderful Christmas day today.  The highlight of the day was a cross country ski in the mountains on 12 inches of fresh snow with a bluebird sky.  We could not have asked for a more perfect day.  I have not been on my cross country skis in 2 years, but I felt so much more comfortable on them than I ever have, and I know it is because I now downhill ski and that has given me an extra skill set with which to control my skis.  Funny how that works…

This photo was on our way back to the truck.  On the way in, no cars had been down the road and it was 12 inches of fresh, untouched powder.  On our way out we passed a SUV in which all the occupants appeared to have been dipping into the eggnog pretty heavily…and recently.  Ah, that’s the spirit of Christmas!  Get drunk on some eggnog and take a drive in the mountains.  Hopefully all made it home safe and sound.  Actually for me, their tire tracks in the snow made it a little easier for me to climb a couple of the hills since Hubby forgot to put any kick wax on my skis.  So….I guess it’s all good in the end.

It’s hard to believe that there is only 1 week left in 2014.  Where does the time go?  In all honesty, though, I am looking forward to (an optimistically) fantastic 2015.  I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season!
